This innovation means that you can have 54V power across a whole range of tools without the inconvenience of a cable. DEWALT XR FLEXVOLT is the only battery on the market that can switch from 54V to 18V, making it backward-compatible with your existing XR powertools.

The faster application speed means that despite the higher voltage, less energy is used overall, which improves runtime on heavy duty tasks. And they are fully compatible with the entire 18V XR range, including chargers.
With high performing battery cells and optimal heat management, thermal management is improved to limit overheating. This will minimise the risk of batteries shutting down during heavy applications, and provide a longer cycle life over time.
